I started this channel right before the pandemic began. My hope was to build a community where I could teach subscribers the basics of cooking and expand from there!
However, the pandemic forced me to pivot my career and I launched my company Cookie Rich in October 2020. It took off (good news) and has left me without enough time to shoot more content for this channel. However, I would love to return again soon and upload more content than just eggs…
In the meantime, go checkout www.getcookierich.com and @getcookierich on Instagram and TikTok. We ship nationwide! Leave me a comment somewhere letting me know you found Cookie Rich from this page!

I dislike cooking but I'm trying learn to love it cuz what man doesn't love a women who cooks please help
will u not come back?
She obviously doesn't eat her own food.
The music is quite annoying and she SMACKED into the microphone!!!!!!!
Couldn’t finish watching the video due to the very annoying and way too loud music playing in the video. Just an FYI.
"Peel", not, "peal". You are a well-organized Chemist. I'm starting to follow your outline type thinking. I plan. Then, I cook/ confect.. As you have no doubt surmised, my wife works. My wife is too tired to cook/ confect when my wife comes home. You are helping to lighten the burden for an insurance lady. Oh, by the way. the Oxford English Dictionary uses, "confect". "Confect", means do things with food quickly, efficiently, and in an artistic manner. Fine work, Yoga Intermediate.
That was very good!
10inches is a good size for me
Hi, music is too loud and it’s difficult to hear you
I'm here learning how to cook for myself and make tasy dishes! I'm kinda of a picky eater and I'm trying to eat more healthy so hopefully I am to soon make tasy dishes 💕
Great instruction LOUD music
This is more of a "how to use a knife while cooking" video, I'm just hungry man..
It would be great if you could remix this video with the music barely audible (maybe one-tenth the volume).
I'm tired to see my mom cook everyday after work she needs my help ❤
Music is too loud. Distracting
Before going to my first cooking classes 👍🏻
Good video and good content, but the music is super annoying.
An overhead cam over the cutting board would be very helpful
Please do not say, "but, also". "But, also", or, "but also" is bad English. One can say, "but". One can say, "also". Generally, most generally, "but also", is terrible English. Footnote: 40 seconds. Those determined, terrible Texas tumbleweeds should not prevail with, "but also". God bless Texas. Give those highly technified hayseeds a good crack. Texas martial arts are clumsy, anyway. Texans should fight like Poles. By the way, you are exceedingly intelligent. You have common sense and sound mental organization. You're a big help.
Knife skills of people in India is bad
i cant even crack an egg properly. Pray for me
The music is distracting. Turn it way down. (I'm sure others have said this. I don't have time to read the other 600 comments.)
Only here because you’re 👌
My niece is named Lauren Michael Peters. Huh? Peters name means; Rock or Stone.
Excellent video, thank you so much
I'm here leaning to cook better so my husband won't beat me as much ❤❤❤❤wish me well y'all
Omg thanks! I was pretty concerned about myself because I have still not learnt any kitchen skill and when my sis was this age she could already do a lot so thanks
the music is distracting :(

Thank you so very much for this tutorial! Every other cooking video that I’ve watched has assumed that people already know the basics. Lots of people, including myself, have no idea where to start. I appreciate the level of detail in this video!
music in the background is to loud
the music is annoying can't really hear you
Hard to concentrate with the loud music.
Thank so much for this tutorial Lorin you ve helped so many!
thought you were like 23
I’m loving this!! Thank you for sharing basic cooking tips and tools for newbies!!
I’m so thankful I’ve found you! My mom was an amazing cook, but she passed when I was 20, before I ever took a real interest to learn. Thank you for breaking things down (no pun intended) for someone like me who literally knows nothing about cooking. I love how detail oriented you are in your teaching- that’s exactly what I’ve been looking for and how I learn best! Looking forward to watching more of your videos on this journey!
That's not an easy cut to start when you have no knife skills. While this is the preferred method to cut a bellpepper in commercial kitchens, I find it way too wasteful. You essentially throw 20% of the pepper out to achieve something super smooth you generally don't need that precise unless you're using the pepper as garnish on a sushi platter and to be honest, a beginner in the kitchen will not prepare a dish like that. Nobody cares in a salad or stew when there's a tad bit of rib left on the pepper. You also need a perfectly shaped pepper for this. I grab a lot of produce that's not A grade from local farmers and if you have a twisted bell pepper that method doesn't work at all. For me: cut the top as shown, pull the stem. Look in whether it's a 3 lobed or 4 lobed pepper and slice all the way down next to the ribs. Then take a paring knife and remove the ribs. There, no waste whatsoever no matter how crucked the pepper was.
Thank you! This is exactly the information I was looking for.
You didn't show us what to do with the top and bottom end of the pepper. And you also said that you should always use the rocking motion but then you proceed not doing it yourself at 11:00
annoying music
The loud music makes it easier to hear you
In my school you have cooking classes in 4th grade and i didn't even know how to peel boiled potatos
Learn how to cook like I did: save money and greatly reduce your chance for food poisoning. I've been poisoned - lesson learned sitting on the toilet or hurling into it from above.
I turned into your video to listen to your comments on cooking basics. The background music is either unnecessary or could be much softer, in order to better understand your comments.
🤢🤮
Onsteak pan?
Lorin has a good clear voice and speaks step by step. Please leave the repetitive background music out if you can in future.
Your loud music is making me move on. Sorry
